April 9 marks Winston Churchill Day in the United States, commemorating the date in 1963 when U.S. President John F. Kennedy named the famed British Prime Minister an honorary U.S. citizen. In addition to leading the United Kingdom to victory in World War II, Churchill was regarded as one of the great public speakers in modern times.
